The SRAM NX X-Horizon ™ allows the same smooth, reliable shifting as the XX1 - from the larger displacement of the upper roller to the X-Sync ™ 12-tooth chain idler. By eliminating unwanted chain movement, the X-Horizon ™ enables faster gear shifting, eliminates ghost shifting, and reduces shifting force and impacting chains. Thanks to the Cage-Lock ™ technology, the removal and installation of the rear wheel is easier than ever.

specifically for SRAM 1X, X-Actuation ™ technology provides precise and consistent shifts across the 10-42 tooth cassette. 

Roller Bearing Clutch ™

With the new X0 and X9 series derailleurs, the Roller Bearing Clutch ™ Technology ensures that the cage can provide tension. A needle-bearing coupling prevents too easy forward movement, the chain remains taut and does not hit against the strut. Thus, even without chain guide on the crank a jump off the chain is reliably prevented. 

Cage Lock ™

The Cage Lock ™ technology in the rear derailleur makes rear wheel removal and installation and chain mounting quicker and easier than ever. Simply push the cage forward (to release the chain tension) and lock. 

X-Horizon ™

The X-Horizon ™ parallelogram design limits movement along the horizontal axis, eliminating so-called "ghost shifting," while reducing shifting force. For faster and more accurate shifting, the large offset of the upper pulley ensures constant chain spacing in each gear. 

X-Sync ™

SRAM's X-Sync ™ 1X chainrings deliver the highest performance and durability. The long SRAM X-Sync ™ serrations grip the chain earlier than traditional triangular teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile and the rounded oblique edges support the chain guide. To provide the best possible performance even on muddy terrain, the X-Sync ™ chainrings have recesses to remove dirt and mud from the inner chain links and rollers. The X-Sync ™ chainrings manufactured in Germany are an important part of the SRAM 1X drive.
