Rear Derailleur Hanger For BIRDY Folding Bike Classic Mark 2/3 Sport Standard Disc Air
This is a replacement rear derailleur hanger in case the rear derailleur hanger (mounting base of the rear derailleur) is bent due to a fall etc.
The rear derailleur hanger is made of a weak aluminum material that bends easily so that the frame and derailleur will not break if the rear derailleur comes in contact with the ground due to a fall, etc. However, the derailleur hanger can easily deform.
If the derailleur itself is completely deformed, the derailleur hanger is almost certainly bent.
Also, even if the derailleur itself is moving, if the derailleur hanger is bent, the protruding part of the derailleur (circled in red in the image) is almost always scratched, and heavy gears (small sprockets) are damaged. It moves without much problem, but as you go to a lighter gear (larger sprocket), symptoms such as a loud chattering noise or shifting by skipping one step occur.
