At Maxxis, the 3C tread is formed from 3 different rubber compounds in one piece and is not subsequently assembled from two strips. Therefore, the treads can be shaped exactly according to the requirements of the respective tire model and the driving characteristics can be optimized.

The freeride variant of Maxxis 3C blends. More grip and traction than the 3C MaxxSpeed ​​compound, with less rolling resistance and longer durability than 3C MaxxGrip. The ideal enduro and freeride mixture because it combines good rolling resistance uphill with great grip on the descent.

EXO Protection

This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires from Maxxis. It is very densely woven, light and very flexible. This means that the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.

Tubeless Ready Tubeless

Tires have many advantages: you can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no hose, the risk of breakdown also decreases. The bead of the Maxxis TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions when they are first inflated and with little liquid.

Wide Trail Casing (WT):

This construction optimizes the tread layout and the shape of the tires on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrower rims and are given a too angular shape on wider rims and therefore not exactly optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work perfectly on all rims with an inner dimension of 30 - 40 mm. Applies to tires with a width from 2.4 ".

MAXXIS REKON Race Dual Compound TR EXO TIRE 

The Rekon Race is, as its name suggests, an aggressive tire for bike races or anyone who wants to be fast. In contrast to the normal Rekon, the central tunnels are flatter. This means that there is less resistance to the ground and you roll more easily. The more pronounced L-shaped side knobs bite into the terrain and thus provide the best grip in loose curves as well as in sloping terrain. With this security you can ride more risky without having to explore the trail conditions beforehand. The Rekon Race is recommended as a rear tire or front and rear for dry short-distance races.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

tube tubeless tires have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube , the risk of a breakdown also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for assembly with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tires. The bead of the TR tire is completely covered with a rubber layer tube As a result, the tube free assembly is successful for all rims with standard dimensions already when inflating for the first time and with little liquid. Normal MAXXIS MTB tires, like tires from other manufacturers, can also be fitted with a tubeless sealant because the carcass fabric is very dense.

Only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless assembly and guaranteed by MAXXIS. The tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.

With a completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity driving. With the side knobs of the legendary DHF, which have been widened somewhat for even better cornering, it has extreme cornering. The center tunnels have bevelled tunnels for better acceleration. Notches on the studs improve the transition when cornering. Part of the center studs has a paddle shape, they dig in when braking hard and help to keep the bike under control.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)

This special carcass construction optimizes the tread layout and the shape of the tires on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and get too square a shape on wide rims and therefore not exactly optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work perfectly on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.

Tubeless ready (TR)

tube tubeless tires have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube , the risk of breakdown also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tube . As a result, the tube free assembly is successful on all rims with standard dimensions when they are first inflated and with little liquid.

Even "normal" MAXXIS MTB tires can be fitted with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabric is very tight.

Only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless assembly and guaranteed by MAXXIS. The tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.

EXO sidewall protection

This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very densely woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.

Dual compound

The Maxxis Assegai - World Cup Champion Greg Minnaar's signature tyre!

The Assegai features tall and well supported side knobs that bite aggressively into corners and provide grip on wet rocks and roots. An extra lug/tooth has been added to give a consistent transition when leaning the bike over. The influence from the DHR 2 ensures that hard braking is taken care of too. The wide trail casing is perfect for those 30mm + internal diameter rims.
