The Mudhugger EVO Zip-Tie was introduced in 2021 and developed with the help of riders from the DH World Cup and EWS. It was designed based on the current FOX 36/38 and RockShox ZEB models to address the problem of collision between the fender and fork crown at full compression, which many other fenders have. It is also stiffer and offers more tire clearance than the original design. It is stable enough for DH use at the highest level. The length is optimized so that the fender is only as long as necessary to ensure the best protection, a slightly implied spoiler improves splash protection.
The Mudhugger Zip-Tie is compatible with most suspension forks, but in some cases requires minor modifications. For example, to mount the EVO on a Manitou Mezza or comparable models with reverse arch (bridge rear), four small holes must be drilled to allow attachment to the bridge. Please note the compatibility chart
Although mounting with cable ties is ideal for permanent mounting, it is also possible to mount the fender by means of a, optionally available Velcro fitting kit to be able to mount / dismount it easily. This also saves a little bit of plastic waste.
Is the Mudhugger EVO Zip-Tie compatible with your fork?
Please note the Mudhugger EVO compatibility chart, this can be found on one of the last photos. This overview should help to find the right EVO fender, suitable for the suspension fork. Some fork models require additional parts or minor modifications to the fender to fit. Please note: Minimum fork pre-bend (offset) for all EVO mudguards: 44 mm. x - means not compatible. ✓ - means compatible, please note additional instructions. ✓* - means heating of the mudguard is necessary to widen the wings a bit - we recommend to put the mudguard in hot water.

The FR (Front Race) was designed with the help of World Cup and Enduro World Series riders during 2014. Weighing in at only 80g but measuring 450mm in length the FR provides awesome mud/spray stopping performance.
From the likes of tomorrow’s champs in the Rippers category to 2015 World Champion Loic Bruni, along with team mate Finn Iles, 2016 Junior World Champ, who choose to use the FR when the conditions require maximum mud protection. With various holes for fitting to different fork braces, the Fr Hugger is suitable for all wheel sizes, 26er 650B and 29er wheel. It also works on Plus wheels with tyres up to 3 inches wide in a ‘Boost’ fork.
