Maxxis strongly advises against the use of ammonia-containing sealant. Ammonia has been shown to attack the carcass and can weaken it up to 30% after just a few months, depending on the amount used. 

Maxxis recommends using the Tire Plasma Tire Sealant .

At Maxxis, the 3C tread is made from 3 different rubber compounds and is not made up of two strips. Therefore, the treads can be formed exactly according to the requirements of the respective tire model and thus the driving characteristics are optimized. 

Maxxis fastest 3C compound for XC and some All Mountain / Enduro tires are designed for lowest rolling resistance due to the hard underbody and the fast center tread compound, but with the grippy compound on the sides it offers even superior grip in curves, even in wet conditions. Typical Maxxis is also the very long life. 

EXO Protection

This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various Maxxis MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good. 

Tubeless Ready Tubeless

tires have many advantages: you can drive with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no hose, the breakdown risk also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for installation with sealant than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of the Maxxis TR tire is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tire. As a result, tubeless fitting on all rims with standard dimensions is already successful on initial inflation and with little fluid.
